ALL THE PRESSURE.

How do I use it?

Put Backshots on a kick or bass track in your DAW. Start with Kick & Bass on and 20–40% Crank. Switch the mode off for a more pronounced midrange effect. Use Bypass to compare, and adjust your track gain to match the level.

Which systems and formats?

Mac builds include AU and VST3 for Apple Silicon and Intel, targeting macOS 11 and later. The Windows build is x64 VST3, targeting Windows 10 and later.

Automated DSP/processor checks and isolated Mac AU/VST3 load checks passed. Native Windows and REAPER/Ableton testing, signing/notarization and final delivery checks remain before sale.

What does the Crank knob change?

Crank adds a parallel dynamics and saturation layer across fixed frequency ranges. Kick & Bass protects the low foundation; switching it off increases midrange grit. Crank at zero restores the original samples with reported latency compensation. Processing increases loudness, so match levels when comparing.

Does it actually talk?

Only on screen. At 0% it says “quit cranking yo dih”. At 100% it says “I Cracked”. No voice clips or spoken audio tags interrupt your track.
